Fergal Broder


Fergal Broder is CEO of LotusWorks, having founded the company in 1989. Fergal is an instrument technician and established his own business providing instrumentation related services over two decades ago in Ireland. Today, Fergal holds the title of CEO in an organisation which has expanded internationally and diversified into new business areas. Fergal has fostered close relationships with manufacturing and process client companies and possesses both knowledge and experience, which he has utilised to ensure LotusWorks provides solutions which deliver value to best in class standard .This knowledge and experience of a wide range of sectors has enabled the company to continually grow and meet the specific requirements of the variety of industries LotusWorks has engaged with.

Fergal’s accomplishments as an Entrepreneur were recognised in the 2006 Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the year awards, he was one of twelve finalists. In 2007 LotusWorks won the Business Achievers award.

Fergal loves a challenge and seeks them out, he looks for opportunity and is respected by those who know him for having the courage, time and again, to take action and achieve results.

 Connor Flanagan


Connor Flanagan has been involved in the Instrumentation & Controls industry in Ireland for over 20 years. He spent his formative years in both the Dairy & Water industry, Connor joined the then, Lotus Automation in 1996.

Starting with a hands-on engineering role, he moved on to take ownership of the successful development of Lotus business in the East of Ireland in 1998. Connor was appointed to the role of General Manager of LotusWorks in 2000, and has been involved in all aspects of the business operation including Business Development, Contract negotiation, Client support and HR Management.

In 2003, Connor became a Shareholder of the company and was appointed to the Board of Directors. Currently Connor is the Managing Director of Lotus Technical Services (LotusTS), a division of the LotusWorks organisation delivering calibration, commissioning, automation and facilities management solutions in the USA & Ireland.

Connor is a larger than life character with a competitive nature and a love of sports.

Tom Cafferkey


Tom is the Business Development Manager for the LotusWorks organisation providing strategic direction to the Irish and US based divisions of the LotusWorks organisation. Tom is heavily involved in the establishment of Lotus Energy Systems which delivers operation and maintenance services to the renewable energy sector in the UK and Ireland.

From 1990 to1995, before joining LotusWorks, Tom served as Calibration Manager with a US Multinational IMED (International Medical Electronic Devices). He has over two decades of experience working in the Instrumentation and Controls field.


In 2000 following a three-year secondment to an multinational corporation in the role of instrumentation and Controls SME, he refocused his efforts on business development and successfully opened Lotus’ first US office in Boston Massachusetts and exceeded sales targets in the first year of business operation. Tom became a shareholder in LotusWorks in 2003.

 

Tom plays golf and welcomes any opportunity to practice and compete on the best golf courses. He is a lover of the sea and has been known to fish occasionally.

 

 Declan R Walsh


Declan is Chief Financial Officier of LotusWorks and also holds the position of Group Finance Director and Company Secretary.Declan previously held the position of Head of Finance and has been responsible for leading and directing the finance team within the company and has established internal controls and software systems enhancing financial and reporting structures for the organisation. Declan joined the company in 2001.

 

Declan is actively involved in the Groups acquisition & growth strategies and is responsible for the funding and corporate governance of all strategic growth initiatives in Ireland and abroad. He has gained substantial international industry experience, having worked previously in the engineering and retail sectors in the UK USA, and Russia.

 

Declan is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in ireland, a member of the Institute of Directors and company representative on the Ireland -US Council. He is also Chairman of the Chartered Accountants Ireland NorthWest Society and a member of the Governing Body of the Sligo Institute of Technology.

 

 

 

Steve Ostrowski


Steven Ostrowski is President of Lotus Construction Management division of the LotusWorks organisation. Steve has spent has 40 years in the construction and engineering business with a significant majority of those years spent in the construction of energy and power producing facilities.

 

Included in Steve’s direct experience are nuclear, coal, gas, oil and renewable projects worth more than $2 billion. His experience also includes service as Vice President of JH Kelly and as Western and Mid-Western Regional General Manager of Johnson Yokogawa, a joint venture between Johnson Controls and Yokogawa of America.

Steve holds a BS degree in Business Management and is a licensed Electrical General Administrator in the State of Washington.

Steve has an appetite and appreciation for learning and it has served him well as he is knowledge rich on all aspects of the traditional fuels and renewable energy industry.

Kevin Menard


Kevin has worked within the construction industry in the U.S.A for 30 years. He has managed several construction projects in the power, advanced technologies, biopharmaceutical and several other industries throughout the North East Region.

Kevin is a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union (IBEW) for the past 30 years and was one of the members of the contractors negotiating committee for the successful agreement on a new contract between IBEW Local 96 Union Members and the NECA Contractors.

Prior to joining the LotusWorks organisation in 2004, Kevin was the Operations Manager for the JH Kelly East Coast Office for 3 years. Kevin holds a Master Electrician License / Business License for the states of Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont.

Kevin and his team are well known as competent contractors in the Massachusetts area.

 James Casey


James Casey started his career with Lotus in 1994 and spent 6 years working as an Instrument & Controls Technician on various projects throughout Ireland on behalf of the company.

In 2000 James moved to the USA to work on a customer project at Hudson MA. In 2004 James was appointed President and shareholder of Lotus Technical Services USA. He established the Lotus Technical Services office in Medford MA in 2006.

James looks after new business development and manages the Lotus Technical Services team in the USA. James has successfully negotiated and completed a range of commissioning & calibration related projects on behalf of client companies during the past 7 years.

James holds a full technological certification in Controls and Engineering from the City and Guild of London Institute and is a member of the ISA and US Green Building Council.

James is fanatical about Gaelic & American sports.

Manuel Da Silva


 Manuel da Silva worked for a mutinational semi conductor company for 15 years to 2007. He held a variety of engineering roles during his time with the company. From 2000 through 2007, Manuel da Silva held the positions of regional engineering manager, respectively for Ireland and East Coast USA, EMEA and APAC. 

Manuel da Silva also worked for Dublin Corporation, having had roles which spanned speciailty vehicle, HVAC, water and waste treatment design and O&M. In March 2007, Manuel joined LotusWorks. Manuel is a Mechanical Engineering graduate from ISEP, Portugal and a Master of Engineering graduate from UCD, Ireland.
 

Currently Manuel looks after all LotusWorks business activity and development plans in Asia.

 

Bob Young


Bob Young is a qualified and experienced Power Engineer. He is the VP of Operations for Lotus Construction Management, and provides O&M and construction services to the Energy Sector Industries. Bob Young has completed construction management projects to the value of $360 million dollars. He has been Plant Manager and General Manager of power plants in the US and has completed power plant start-up activities on several facilities.
 
Bob has been responsible for leading and directing the Construction Management and Performance Improvement Services divisions within the company. Bob established the internal controls and project controls enhancing division and project specific financial and reporting structures for the organization.

Bob Young joined LotusWorks in 2006. Bob is responsible for management of Construction Management projects to meet corporate profit goals and strategic growth plans. He has gained substantial international industry experience having worked previously in the energy sectors in USA, UK, Middle East and Far East.
 
Bob loves to travel and experience all that life has to offer. He is an accomplished runner and no day is complete without exercise.  

Chuck Leber


Chuck Leber is the Vice President of Technical Training for Lotus Construction Management, and has managed and implemented performance improvement and technical services projects for clients across North America and in Asia. Chuck provides guidance for the development of the company's new performance improvement / risk reduction products and for the technical excellence of the company's products and deliverables.

He has gained substantial experience having worked previously as an equipment designer for an OEM, consulting engineer, and engineering manager for an industrial construction company. He was also a capital projects manager  and held management positions in the utilities and human relations departments in the production plant of a Fortune 500 company.Chuck Leber joined LotusWorks in 2006 and is responsible for the strategic development and management of performance.
